On Wednesday night we went again to the slopes because Andrin departs again on Friday and wanted to see something from the nightlife. Sun at 9 or so we were at the British Bankers Club in Menlo Park, there was still funny. But much more interesting when it was to go home:
There was a car parked in the garage, had the GPS signal is not immediately and we did not know if we had to turn left or right. Next were no cars behind us, so we it up in the middle of the tracks left and right waiting / straight ahead until we are the way indicated. When it disclosed the way it went loose Andrin also the same. Just then a police car turned into our street. So then this was
police car behind us turned and times up his Christmas tree is a (still without sound). Uncertain whether we have to respond, we drove carefully until then briefly turned on the siren, after which we stopped on the right side of the road.
"License and registration, please." The ticket had Andrin then unfortunately left in the hotel and the registration we did not know where she is. But at least he had his Swiss passport there. So they tested just once then stop if the car is a rental car and asked if we have had a drink. Honest as we are, we said that we both have had since 9 clock two beers. And then the second set was typical of the television: "Sir, would you please step out of your vehicle?".
Andrin could then make some of the exercises, how they look in the film, but imagine how all that Andrin know, went all finally look good, the policeman gave him even recommended a few beers. They have also said then that they have taken out, since we had driven so strange between tracks (while we were waiting for the GPS signal).
Thus, I check off the encounter with the police on my to-do list for my time here ;-)
Why am I still awake? Well, this is quite simple:
morning (or today) I have a 6 clock early to be with Google on the campus, it goes with the whole team for River Rafting! Since I do miss the course by no means, I'm already at 10 this evening clock went home and straight to bed. After I then still after 3 hours awake in bed (an unusually early bed time for me was (only as an info for those who do not know that)), it was too risky, that I 4 hours later the alarm clock (or the alarm clock, 4 slept in number) would, so I have decided now to do just everything that I had long intended to make, such as correspondence or blog. I can sleep on the bus then (hopefully) if rafting is sure funny :-) :-) If
From Andrin I've already passed me, flying tomorrow afternoon at 4 clock via New York (where he meets his brother) again home to Switzerland.
